Kemble Steam Extravaganza
2nd August 2009

Two cars met at Magor Services at 8.30am, in their modern cars, we waited a few minutes before setting off for the airfield. We drove at a steady pace and arrived at 9.15 approx.
Francis and Beryl, Sue and I made our way to the main arena and were pleased to see that there were benches all around. We sat and had a cup of coffee. When the phone rang it was Lorraine and Richard phoning to say that they were in the queue to get in. Tony and Angela were there too.
There were lots going on, loads of cars to see, trade stands, shows in the arena animal acts like Huskies, Hawks and other animals. The weather was very kind to us and apart from a few clouds it was very sunny. The show itself was well organized they even had bowls around full of water for dogs. There was a relaxed atmosphere throughout the
day and we managed to see the chap in charge to apply to enter our cars next year.
We set off home at about 1630hrs Richard went home via Ross while Francis and I went home by the way of the M4.
