Abergavenny Steam, Veteran and Vintage Rally

30th and 31st May 2010

Brian, Sylvia, Steven & Darren had decided to have an extra night camping at Abergavenny and travelled up together on the Friday afternoon. On arrival we set up camp and noticed that quite a few traders were already on site along with a fun fair and the steam engine displays. Later that evening we settled down for a BBQ and one or two drinks around our camp fire with the company of Tony F.

The shows on Sunday and Monday were excellent, with the usual displays of various classic cars, bikes, steam engines and craft stalls. At the request of John Hay (Events Organiser) we had set up an MG only display, with gazebo, bunting and our flags. To me it was the best display to date. Only thing lacking was a couple of Triumphs and Fords which were parked elsewhere on the grounds, splitting the club, but nevertheless we had a great time.
