The Christmas party this year was held in the Hilton Hotel Newport. The evening started with a few drinks in the beefeater restaurant. After a few more drinks, the people who booked to stay at the Premier Inn went to get changed and met the others at the Hilton.

The meal was traditional Christmas fayre and was very nice. We all sat at the same table and it was just right. After the meal we made our way to the dance floor where there was a disco. Some of the members left at this point as disco was not their thing, but the party went on until midnight. The only thing I would have changed is the fact that we were spread about around the room which made it hard to talk to everybody. We then went back to the Inn and met for breakfast in the morning.
