Vale of Glamorgan Classic Car Show

We met at Forge lane at 8.30, only Phil and Myself, and drove to Sully, meeting Richard on the way. When we got there it was dry but very windy so we had a little chat as to wether we put up the event tent and looking around we could see other clubs had put theirs up, so we put up ours. We also put up one side to shield us from the wind.

There were a couple of stalls selling auto jumble and loads of different spark plugs for 1.00 each. Phil managed to get an alternator for a few quid so was well chuffed. The view was good looking over both Penarth and Barry. There were some amazing cars on show with odd ones like two Rover 75's welded together so you could not tell if it was coming or going. A Mercedes Gullwing value 250,000 - Best car in show and for that much money that's what you would expect.

We had a walk along the beach which was covered in rocks and seaweed, The sports centre was open so we went in to warm up and buy some chips. Most of the day was taken up talking to people about cars and walking around looking at cars. 16hrs the show picked best car and called out the raffle - none of us won. Then we collected our plaques and it was time for home. Traffic was fairly heavy and it started to rain as promised but at least it never rained while we were at the show.
